Summer in Oslo 2026:

June, July and August — music, festivals, sport, art, fjord life and visual experiences

Oslo in summer is a city made for open-air experiences. The fjord moves right into the centre, the parks become natural amphitheatres, the streets fill with music, and many of the city’s best cultural moments can be enjoyed without needing to understand Norwegian. For international visitors, this makes June, July and August especially rewarding: concerts, festivals, exhibitions, ballet, sport, outdoor life, architecture and waterfront experiences all unfold in a language that is visual, physical and atmospheric.

This Event Calendar focuses on events and experiences that are broadly universal — music you can feel, art you can see, dance and ballet you can follow through movement, sport you can understand in the moment, and Oslo’s own summer landscape of islands, parks, museums and fjordside venues.
