Museum Ferry

Bygdøy Ferry from Oslo

Bygdøyfergene (The Bygdøy Ferries) offer the most scenic and convenient way to travel from downtown Oslo to the museum-rich Bygdøy peninsula. Operated by Norway Yacht Charter, this charming water shuttle service has been connecting locals and tourists to the peninsula since 1898.

Bygdøy – The Museum Island

Bygdøy is often referred to as Oslo’s museum island. Technically, it’s a peninsula connected to the mainland just outside the city, but getting there by car can take time. In summer, Bygdøy transforms into a popular destination for culture and relaxation, with world-class museums, beaches, forest paths, and cozy restaurants.
