Oslo Fire Museum
Welcome to the Oslo Fire Museum
The Oslo Fire Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing Oslo’s rich firefighting heritage.
The museum is located in the historic premises of the former Grønland Fire Station and is run by retired firefighters and other passionate volunteers. Here, visitors can explore vintage fire engines and equipment from more than 150 years of Oslo’s firefighting history.
The museum is open to everyone during regular opening hours. Larger groups wishing to visit are welcome to contact us in advance, and we will be pleased to arrange a tailored programme for your visit.
The Children’s Fire Station
At the Children’s Fire Station, home to Bjørnis, kindergartens receive age-appropriate fire safety education designed especially for children. Children must be over three years old to benefit from the programme. The maximum number of registered children per visit is 25.
The Children’s Fire Station is located at the Oslo Fire Museum, and all instructors have many years of previous experience with the Oslo Fire and Rescue Service.
We are fully booked throughout 2026 and will announce when bookings open for 2027.
