Tegnerforbundets utvalgte 2025 is the ninth edition of an exhibition that has become a regular highlight of the Norwegian Artists' Association's annual program. The exhibition presents a professionally juried selection from the great variety of picture books, comics, and illustrated and wordless books published during the past year. ‍ Through sketches, original drawings, and digital works, we highlight the extensive and detailed work that such publications require, in recognition of the visual book and the skilled illustrators behind it. This year's professional jury consists of Kristoffer Kjølberg, May Linn Clemet, and Marius Renberg.

This year's selected illustrators are:

Bjørn Ousland , Welcome to Grumyra, Gyldendal
Kaia Dahle Nyhus , Go away! (written by Gro Dahle), Cappelen Damm
Marianne Gretteberg Engedal , Birds you may have met , Aschehoug
Flu Hartberg , OsloLovers , No Comprendo Press
Åshild Irgens , Oskar and I – All the Things We Have (written by Maria Parr), Samlaget
Mari Kanstad Johnsen , Swimming Bird (written by Kjersti Annesdatter Skomsvold), Aschehoug
Helen Kaldheim , Mørkalven 4 , TNT/Bonnier
Espen Friberg , Zero Life No. 3 (written by Fredrik Larsen), No Comprendo Press
Sigbjørn Lilleeng , The Dinosaurs' Record Book (written by Reidar Müller), Aschehoug
Per Ragnar Møkleby , Round trip , Spriten Forlag
Kari Stai , The Pack – stories , The Collective
Rune Markhus , Mushrooms in a hal! (written by Unni Vik), Gyldendal

The selected books will be available to the public in the gallery throughout the exhibition period.

Each year, one of the selected artists is commissioned to decorate the gallery's window facade with an original drawing for the exhibition. This year, Per Ragnar Møkleby is responsible for this drawing. Video interviews with the selected artists will also be shown in Tegnerforbundet during the exhibition period.

ABOUT TEGNERFORBUNDET

Tegnerforbundet (TF) - the Norwegian Drawing Center is centrally located in Kvadraturen in Oslo. We work to show the breadth of drawing and to promote the discourse around drawing as an art form. Our vision is to be Norway's foremost communicator and champion of drawing.

Our premises at Rådhusgata 17 house a large and modern gallery where four to five exhibitions are shown a year. We also carry out educational projects and events focusing on drawing for adults and children, professionals and drawing enthusiasts, as well as those who want to become one.

TF is also the publisher of NUMER , Norway's only journal for drawing, illustration and book art. NUMER is published three times a year and sent to subscribers in and outside Norway. The magazine is free for TF members, and interested parties can purchase NUMER in TF's gallery, at Teksallmenningen and in the book salon at Litteraturhuset in Bergen. NUMER's digital platform numermagasin.no offers reviews, interviews, artist portraits and the latest news in the field of drawing nationally and internationally.

Professional practitioners with a focus on drawing can organize themselves in Tegnerforbundet by applying for membership . TF is a member of Norske Billedkunstnere (NBK) and TF's board works together with NBK to improve members' conditions and rights. As of today, TF has approx. 600 members .
